Taimur Awan, Class of 2014

Undergrad: University of Pennsylvania

Following his time at Penn, Taimur worked in New York as an investment banker and in Dubai and Mozambique in business development, including working with entrepreneurs in commercial farming and cashew processing in Mozambique. At Booth, he is concentrating in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, and is a co-chair for the Food, Environment, Agribusiness, and Development (FEAD) group and AudioBooth. Taimur is an avid soccer player and fan, although serious knee injuries have seen him spend more time on his other interests: food and live music. Taimur is also a chili enthusiast and has taken a keen interest in food entrepreneurship.

Cindy Chow, Class of 2014

Cindy moved to Chicago from San Francisco, CA, where she was a marketing consultant working with tech and telecom companies. At Booth, she is focusing on Marketing and General Management, and is a co-chair for the Food, Environment, Agribusiness, and Development (FEAD) group, Travel, Transportation, and Hospitality group; and OUTreach. Cindy is currently interning with Gogobot, a social travel start-up, and will be interning this summer at 
The Walt Disney Company.

Fiorella Escalante, Class of 2014

After graduating from University, Fiorella spent 5 years at IBM, including time spent at the Joint Venture between IBM & Ricoh. Then, she spent 2 years in the Food Industry. At Booth, Fiorella is focusing on Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and is a co-chair for the Food, Environment, Agribusiness, and Development (FEAD) group and Volleyball group. Fiorella will be interning this Summer at Brasil Foods.

Otto Gryschek, Class of 2014

Undergrad: Universidade de Sao Paulo – ESALQ, Agricultural Engineering

Otto joined McKinsey as researcher analyst focused on Agribusiness sector in the Sao Paulo office. Later on, still at McKinsey, he became a generalist consultant working in the Telecom and Chemical industries. Months before moving to Chicago, Otto worked at Monsanto in the seeds` marketing department. At Booth, he is focusing on General Management, Marketing and Finance, and is continuing to focus his efforts in the Food and Agribusiness value chain through FEAD. Otto is going to intern at US Foods, a leading food distribution company in the US.

Chris Iglesias, Class of 2014

Chris moved to Chicago from Los Angeles, CA, where he worked in brand management and new product development in the food CPG space for a leading Hispanic dairy product manufacturer, marketer, and distributor.  At Booth he is focusing on Marketing, Strategic Management, and Managerial and Organizational Behavior and is a co-chair for the Food, Environment, Agribusiness, and Development (FEAD) Group as well as the Hispanic American Business Students Association (HABSA).  Chris will be interning this summer with Kraft foods in Glenview, IL.


Abigail Kim, Class of 2014

Abigail is currently pursuing concentrations in Analytic Management, Operations, and Marketing.  Before starting her MBA, she worked in nonprofit administration and overseas development assistance.  She has experience evaluating agricultural value chains and policies related to food security.
